 Cheapest Areas of Dubai to Rent

Accommodation costs are of the largest costs incurred by anyone working in Dubai and if you're not of the lucky ones having a housing allowance paid by your employer we will look at rental prices around Dubai.
With infrastructure, recent road and public transport improvements the Emirate tenants have a wide choice of accommodation options open to them, originally Deira was one of the cheapest options and with the start of the Dubai metro red line opening in 2009 saw the line go from Jebel Ali into Deira and with the addition of the green line in 2010 opened up Bur Dubai and Deira and this became the boom area for affordable housing within the commuter belt and Discovery gardens at the far eastern end of the line.


As more and more outer lying areas have been built and the infrastructure to support these communities tenants have gone to the superbs in droves to seek more affordable options with IMPZ, Dubai Sports city and Al Furjan , whilst not at this stage being connected to the metro the red line extension for expo 2020 will provide metro stations at Al Furjan and Impz. With the new shopping mall of Maeseen opening in 2015 IMPZ is now experiencing large growth in this area and with Sheik Mohammed Bin Zayed road improvements and with the removal of the notorious Green community island bottle neck many people are seeing this as a sensible affordable option to live.

Prices are significantly lower than the premium areas with a 1 bedroom located in Downtown costing 100k to 120k aed and premium buildings like Burj Khalifa as high as 180k aed , a 1 bedroom in IMPZ can be rented for as little as 50k aed with landlords being more flexible on the number of cheques rather than in the past where they asked for a tenant to pay the whole one year ahead in one go ( 1 cheque ).

Also the benefit of brand new housing with modern facilities like gymnasiums, swimming pools and safety standards and up to date appliances with new housing units coming on line in Al Furjan, IMPZ, Dubai Sports city, Remraan, Arjan and further along at Q Point at Liwan there will be no shortage of options and keener prices as landlords are keen to rent the investments out first in order to maximize their return and with the aforementioned improvements in Road and metro the savvy tenants are seeking to move to these new areas and enjoy lower rental prices before the rush.
